PreSchool-K-Two titles about a winning duo that will strike a chord with youngsters. They can easily stand alone, but reading them together enhances both experiences. I Can is told from the perspective of an older brother who relates his accomplishments and compares them to those of his younger sister. Me Too chronicles the younger sibling's efforts to keep up with her brother. Wonderful watercolor pictures highlight the love and friendship that the siblings share. These feelings are strong enough to overlook the fact that the pair never seem to fight, which may not be completely realistic. Nonetheless, the charming endings show that both children feel needed. Comparable to Kristine Church's My Brother John (Tambourine, 1991), Winter's books also point out each sibling's weaknesses, while at the same time focusing on their mutual adoration.
