About the Author

Originally a native of Washington State, Pat has made her home in Canton, Ohio for the last 35 years. With five kids, she spent lots of time waiting: in doctor's offices, at baseball games, during recitals. It was during these times that these stories began to ruminate, characters floating in and out, before she settled on the story of four extraordinary young boys who come-of-age in the early 1900's. Inspiration has come from her own experiences as an artist, a business owner, linguist and intelligence officer in the Air Force.
