Wired Against You: How Social Media Algorithms and AI Hijack Your Emotions and the Grounding System to Take Them Back

This book is for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical or psychological advice. Always consult a qualified professional for personal mental health concerns.

Every scroll, every notification, every piece of content that left you drained and on edge was designed to do exactly that. Social media algorithms and AI do not work on you by accident. They work on you by design — targeting your emotions, your attention, and over time, your sense of who you are.

Wired Against You gives you what the platforms never will: a clear, honest explanation of the mechanism, and a practical system for taking back control.

Inside, you will learn why your emotional reactions feel faster and harder to manage than they used to. You will understand how dopamine loops, algorithmic identity profiling, and AI-driven personalisation quietly reshape your baseline mood, your relationships, and your self-narrative. You will discover how to protect your attention as the finite resource it actually is. And through the G.R.O.U.N.D. Framework, you will have a six-step system that works in real moments, under real pressure, in ninety seconds or less.

Parents, educators, and professionals will find dedicated guidance for the specific environments where these dynamics matter most.

Wired Against You is not a detox guide. It is not a warning. It is a framework — and every day you spend inside these systems without it is another day the algorithm is writing your story for you.
