Sm 8v, 254 pp. Illustrated front cover in orange, against what used to be white. Condition: is Fair to Poor, binding square, no loose or missing pages. Spine is cracked at title page, only. There is considerable wear to exterior; the surface has chipped away, and what remains is quite worn and spotted from handling and use. The interior is clean except for several spots in the Pastry section.(Which includes such recipes as Boiled Indian Pudding, and Good Friday Cake.) Soups begin the recipes. The book ends with Drinks, Ices, and finally Dishes for Invalids, everything cooked in a non-electric kitchen, of course. For anyone who enjoys reading cookbooks, this one will keep him/her up well past midnight!
