In it, she shares classroom experiences as only she can. The book is a compilation of devotionals, poems, insights and quotations that depict a few of the very real issues and struggles found in the schoolhouse. Her works have appeared in Christian Educators' Teachers of Vision Magazine and in Daring to Dream Again (Overcoming Barriers that Hold You Back), a 50-Day Spiritual Adventure for pastors and congregations. Additionally, two of her poems have been published in the Fragrance of Kindness by Cheri Fuller. A segment of her life appeared in Luis Palau's It's a God Thing. Several of her pieces also appear in The Gift of Teaching, a Handbook for Christians Who Serve in Schools by Daniel Elliot and R. Lewis Hodge. Before her retirement, some of her more innovative classroom escapades were written up in the Hartford Courant and Bloomfield Journal. Clara's unpretentious writing style draws you in and holds you.
