About the Author Ross Maclean brings his experience as an R-2000 builder and Energy Star Builder as well as being one of the 20 chosen by CMHC to design a Net Zero Healthy Home. With references to various outcomes Ross hopes to enlighten the pathway to a Great Green Renovation that will payback in comfort as well as your pocket book. Ross wished to fully understand the Sciences of a home and understanding that the home and its components operate as a system, so he indulged himself in certifying himself in ventilation design/install, hydronic heating and solar thermal installation. The author has been a team member and team lead for various integrated design charrettes such as Designing a Net Zero Factory and Re-Greening Union Station (Toronto). Ross was part of the Design team and the Construction manager for Saugeen FN's Multi unit 8 plex that received notoriety as one of Canada's Most Energy Efficient Low Rise Multi's with an Energuide 87 and beat the HERs target! Ross has taken his Research and Developed products that can meet or exceed the stringent needs of future housing and Energy Targets and has had "the SuperSTUD" S-9 showcased on Mike Holmes Ultimate Garage!
