Wisdom for Parents

This parenting book is the result of lessons learned and wisdom imparted by Certified Family Life Educators. Their stories, personal experiences, and poems emphasize character building, parent-child relationships, guidance, and discipline. The pinnacle chapter, "Wisdom of the Ages," traces wisdom from the past, handed down to us from early pioneers and writers from various disciplines: family science, sociology, psychology, psychiatry, biology, and the medical field. The contributions unmask developments over time and reveal why there are so many theories and programs on parenting. The journey they share will help parents navigate through tough situations. For students, instructors, and counselors, this book can be applied to parent education, as well as marriage and family studies.
