About this title

Synopsis

The Wise Guide Notre Dame Stadium is a compendium of tips, trivia and advice on attending a game at the home of the Fighting Irish and is another in a series of books from Wise Guides Inc. The pocket-sized guide is designed to capture the entire experience of going to South Bend on a football weekend. It is third in the growing library of the Fan Navigator series from Wise Guides Inc. It follows the successful release of Wise Guide Wrigley Field and Wise Guide Ohio Stadium. A few things fans will learn from the Wise Guide Notre Dame Stadium: an interview with this year's leprechaun, pre-game traditions, tailgate strategies, how to score tickets and where to head after the game for a celebratory drink or meal. "We take the game very seriously, but the tailgate is pretty important, too," says Andy Buchanan, author and longtime Chicago journalist who has covered Big Ten football. "Cubs fans found our Wise Guide Wrigley Field a helpful and humorous take on experiencing that park, and we think Notre Dame fans will find the Wise Guide Notre Dame Stadium as insightful." The book offers a guide to the monuments and "must sees" on campus, an interview with a former player with a famous last name and contains plenty of Irish history and trivia. The Wise Guide Notre Dame Stadium includes a restaurant/bar guide for campus and beyond, 2005 and 2006 season schedules, and a section at the back to collect the autographs of your favorite Fighting Irish. "The Wise Guide Notre Dame Stadium would make a great gift for the 30-year season ticket holder as well as the fan making their first visit to a Fighting Irish game," says John Buchanan, Wise Guides Inc. founder. "We think it’s informative, providing fans a dose of history as well as stadium and campus facts, and a clever take on a fall Saturday in South Bend."
