The Bible tell one big story.
Woven through every page is a golden thread—God’s great rescue plan, promised long ago and fulfilled in Jesus.
When people wander from God, He does not leave them lost. Instead, He sends a promised Ruler and Rescuer to bring us home.
Wise Guys Meet the Superstar retells the true Christmas story from Matthew chapter 2 in lively rhyme and rich illustration for readers aged 5-8. Beginning with a simple description of the wonder of the night sky, young readers are invited to follow a group of star-watching wise men on a long journey—one that leads not just to Bethlehem, but to worship.
As you read, discover how God used a shining star, ancient promises, and faithful seekers to point the world to His Son.
This story helps children see Christmas as more than a celebration—it is part of God’s big story, and it all leads to Jesus.

The astronomy elements serve as a gentle narrative hook, while the heart of the book focuses on worship, obedience, and God’s unfolding plan.
Part of the Golden Thread Bible Stories series, this book helps children understand the Bible is one unified story—God’s rescue plan—fulfilled in Jesus. Ideal for classroom reading, church programs, school libraries, and family discussion, it supports early biblical literacy while encouraging curiosity, reverence, and wonder.

A storyteller, traveller, and grandfather, David Ritchie shares page-turners that make you chuckle, reflect, and imagine.David was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and moved to Sydney, NSW, with his family when he was ten. A former teacher, pastor, and carpenter, he has lived and worked in Australia and Kenya - teaching physics in Nairobi, climbing Mt Kenya three times, and collecting stories from every chapter of his life. Now semi-retired in Newcastle, Australia, David writes for readers of all ages. His work ranges from rhyming ballads that weave humour and faith to imaginative fiction for children. He draws inspiration from a lifetime of adventure, travel, and teaching, as well as from his wife, Margy, their four children, and eight grandchildren-who know that Pa always has another story to tell. When he's not writing, David can usually be found with a good book in hand or tending four chickens and his vegetable garden-the perfect place, he says, to dream up his next story.
