About the Author

William Herman Bloom's long and distinguished career as a neurosurgeon has taken him from medical school to chief resident at Bellvue Hospital to president of the Suffolk Academy of Medicine. A member of the International Society of Poets, Dr. Bloom is the author of two collections of poetry, three previously published books, and a number of scientific and academic articles and reviews. He resides in Bay Shore, New York where he is currently hard at work on books about the lives of Christopher Columbus and Mileva Maric Einstein, the neglected and misunderstood wife of Albert Einstein.
