Sixteenth century Scotland is in the grip of a witch hunt, a bloody campaign fuelled by the greed of the King and his corrupt courts, where his own version of the grand European witch hunt that burned 60,000 innocent women at the stake, was orchestrated. Neil McLaughlin has enjoyed storytelling and writing short stories and poetry since childhood. His 5 decade career in commercial real estate, dominated his time until just a few years ago when he decided to launch a new career as an author. This edition is his first book in a planned trilogy that he is currently working on and will soon be completed.

The author lives with his wife Linda in Burlington, Ontario where they enjoy their daughter Michelle and son Ryan's family and their three grandchildren. They enjoy travel, wine, murder mysteries, live theatre, books and boating on Lake Ontario.
