The Witches of Greyfolk

Azael is a defiant young wizard whose dangerous escape rips him-and his companion-from the clutches of the Witches of Greyfolk and hurls them into a wider world of steel, sorcery, and fragile alliances. Hunted by ancient magic and drawn toward secrets that will begin to reshape the world around him, his journey becomes more than survival-it becomes a race to outrun the story being written for him.

Captain Islen is a pirate by trade and a survivor of the great Guild Wars-bold, sharp-bladed, and fiercely loyal to his crew. What the witch sisters want from him, he cannot fathom. He knows only this: whatever their designs, he refuses to let Greyfolk pay the price for his escape.

Darke is an agent of the Great Library, a relentless warrior bound to its will, moving through the world like a man who understands exactly how stories end...and what they demand in return. His knowledge of Azael-and the ruin that waits along his path-makes him a dangerous guide and an unlikely ally.

Together, they are drawn into a journey that will test loyalty, challenge belief, and set in motion consequences none of them can fully escape.

The Witches of Greyfolk is a mythic fantasy adventure of perilous roads, hard choices, and a boy standing at the edge of legend.

J. Patrick Lemarr, the firstborn son of a Southern Baptist minister and a teacher-turned-counselor, grew up in Texas and rural Oklahoma, escaping into comic books and children's fiction. After years of channeling both personal loss and wonder into poetry, he turned to his first love-genre fiction-building imaginative worlds through fantasy and horror. His works include Shadow Plays, All That Waits in the Night, The Christmas Cabin, and The Willing, The Wounded, and The Wizard, which introduces his recurring characters Dylan Drake, Darke, and Azael. Today, Lemarr lives in Indiana with his wife and children, crafting stories for Write Crowd Publishing and sharing exclusive content with his Patreon supporters.
