Witchfire: Book Two of The Dark Inbetween

After narrowly surviving the deadly pursuit of a demon bent on devouring Kyran for the power his blood would grant it and escaping the retribution of Laird Dunbar, Kyran and Barrett return to Tennebrum to rest and recover only to find themselves embroiled in a new and dangerous threat.

On the guild's orders, Barrett is sent to the once-quaint town of Belldale to join the ranks of hunters stationed there to face an endless assault of demons. It may not be the demons the hunters have to fear, though, but another old enemy that has resurfaced, one far more insidious than a hungry demon.

Meanwhile, Kyran arrives alone at the Hunters' Guild only to be met by a city on fire. Demons stalk the streets, citizens protest outside the guildhall, and as the lanterns dim, the dark history of hunters and mages begins to unravel right before Kyran's eyes.

Together, Kyran and Barrett must face enemies threatening to tear apart the Hunters' Guild and its secrets, and make dangerous choices they may soon come to regret. Because some secrets must be kept.
