Haunting Cornish Tales gleaned from real life Characters and incidents. Frontis is a Dramatic Illustration of a horse falling over a cliff "the Awful Ride" by John Thomas Blight. Others include "The Wreck near the Land's End", "Murder most foul" and "Josiah's lonely Midnight Watch in the Conjuror's House". Dark Blue pebbled cloth cover with blind stamped border to front and back. Gilt title with a little foliate decoration on spine. Yellow endpapers. 241 Pages, 360g, 7 3/4" Tall. From the Library of the late Prof. Charles Thomas the Cornish Historian & Author, his illustrated Bookplate is on the endpaper. Cloth torn down sides of spine and rear board is detached but present. Cloth worn at tips of corners. Binding cracked after Contents page, text block firm thereafter. No inscriptions. Pages in good, clean condition. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
