Joseph Bruchac is a writer and traditional storyteller who lives in the Adirondack Mountains region of northern New York. Much of his work is inspired by his Native American (Abenaki) ancestry. He is the author of more than 130 books for young readers and adults.

Carlin Bear Don't Walk is a Native American artist from the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Busby, MT. A self-taught artist, he finds inspiration in his upbringing and cultural background. His unique style-bright, striking, and energetic-captures the emotion and power within each piece. His original oil paintings can be found around the world in art galleries, museums, universities, businesses, and homes.
