About the Author

Laurie Itkin is the founder of The Options Lady and a financial advisor at Coastwise Capital Group, a boutique money management firm in Southern California.

Ms. Itkin launched The Options Lady to educate and empower women of all ages to take control of their money, become successful investors, and grow the money they work so hard to earn.  She specializes in teaching conservative options strategies to generate income and reduce risk when investing in the stock market. She provides professional money management for clients without the time or inclination to manage their own portfolios.

Ms. Itkin frequently appears on broadcast media as a stock market and personal finance expert.  She is a regular contributor to DailyWorth and Stilettos on the Glass Ceiling, and has been quoted by CNBC, MSN Money, CBS Money Watch, Learnvest, Investopedia, and the College Investor.  

Ms. Itkin has a B.S. in economics with a concentration in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and hold the Series 65 license for investment advisors.  She enjoys playing squash and practicing yoga and lives in San Diego with her husband and stepdaughter.
