A vast improvement over the first two tries by Jessup and Chipps, this third edition has been updated and expanded with up-to-the-minute tax, legal, credit, and insurance information. For example, the chapter on Insurance has added a section on "Saving Money on Insurance." Another improvement is the more logical arrangement of chapters, which had been a major flaw of the original edition ( LJ 5/15/76). Since many small businesses fail because of the lack of cash flow, the authors now focus on capitalization in Chapter 2. Featuring interviews with successful women entrepreneurs, this guide is a wealth of inspiration as well as practical advice.
