The result from qualitative data revealed that illiteracy, lack of facilities, lack of awareness and absence of needs assessment were the challenges of women farmers participation in the training. Therefore, policy makers and NGOs should address barriers of women participation in modular training and the challenges of women farmers in modular training programs in Farmers Training Centers.

About the Author

The author was born in West Arsi, Administrative Zone of Oromia Regional State in 1984.He had B.A. degree in history and Msc in Rural Development. He worked as Teacher and Project Coordinator. After his Msc,he participated in research and consultancy works.Currently he working as a researcher in Ethiopian Environment and Forest Research Institute.
