Women Employment in Urban Informal Sector: A Study in Telangana

The author has done quite relevant study on contemporary issues of women workforce in the urban informal sector. The author identified many critical issues on income generation in informal sector, emerging issues of women employment in informal sector and also employment of women vegetable vendors and also better management of available resources. The findings of the field study and suggestions are mostly useful to overcome the emerging issues to improve their economic conditions.This study also provides an opportunity to enquire various related issues of the women workforce which are underlinethe urban and rural informal sector. Therefore there is a need to have in depth studies on empowerment of womenworkforce in various sectors of the economy to get more employment opportunities with security of employment,comfortable working environment in turn hope for the sustainable development of the economy.This book is quite useful to the scholars, policy makers and also to the large sections of the informal householdsto understand the problems and also to frame a result oriented policy decisions for better living conditions of thepeople working in the informal sector.
