Items discussed are Grants to the Dept. of Lands and Forests / Land Settlement Board / Coal, Petroleum, and Natural Gas Control / Dyking / Surveys and Mapping / Air Survey / Water Rights, etc. ; also, an update is requested on the Commission's Report on the State and Management of the Gaols of British Columbia, including Young Offenders at Okalla Prison, a new Gaol in Haney/Mission, the need for a new Woman's Gaol, removal of the New Haven facility, a new Boy's Industrial School on Vancouver Island, fire protection at the Nelson Gaol, a new Inspector of Gaols for the West Kootenay and South Okanagan ; also, questions regarding a new Mining Inspector for Stewart, Atlin, etc. Report w. some toning, minor creases and a 1/2" closed tear at upper left corner. The report is dated Friday, April 6th, 1951, Victoria, B.C. with "Printed by Don McDiarmid, Printer to the King's Most Excellent Majesty" printed at foot of terminal text leaf.
