No date c1920s. ? 3rd Edition. Post Boer War Pre WW1. Colour illust 2nd Life Guards by Cpt Adrian Jones on paper on board with gold titles front. Blue cloth spine. Black flourishes on gold back. Blue & white illustrated cartoon soldiers by Thomas Maybank endpapers. Sepia, b/w + f/c period photos throughout. Double page pull out in f/c of The Cavalry Regiments of the British Army itemised. Wonderfully documented period account and pics. Condition: Book obviously well used. Tears on spine top and bottom, cloth faded + thinning. Illustrations scratched and worn on all edges. Wear on corners + sides boards showing. 2nd part of illustration to o/p missing. Binding is shot! Boards wobbly, pages loose overall (none missing). First page has Okehampton underlined. A few of the photos have light faded colouring, easily removed if required with an eraser. Pages heavily tanned on outer edge. Otherwise its still there! Readable, difficult to get hold of copy in any condition. Fair minus.
