The Word Wizard is a 28-page children's picture book that will help children learn to understand how letters make up words. The book uses color and font size changes to highlight the words that are changed by the wizard who creates mischief for a boy one day. The color illustrations draw the reader in to find the wizard hat hidden in the illustrations and the introduction of the friendly dog early in the story gives the boy a happy companion during his troubles. The book introduces conflict that is resolved at the end when the boy takes matters into his own hands.

About the Authors

Andrew J. Carpenter was born in St. Louis, Missouri and obtained a Ph.D. in organic chemistry before working in the pharmaceutical industry for most of his career. This is his first book and grew out of his love for telling bedtime stories to his kids and the recognition that children really love it when things get a little silly. Laura Orsolini is an Italian illustrator. She received her art degree in Rome, followed by a specialization in children's book illustration. Laura published several titles in Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada, US and South Korea. Her artwork has been exposed in many international illustration exhibitions.
