Work That Makes a Difference

The work you do is one of the main ways you serve God and show love to your neighbor―and as you devote your time to it, it reflects, shapes, and defines who you are. When we work faithfully in ways that please God, we act as his hands in the world, providing for one another and pushing back against the effects of the fall. Writing to men and women who labor in any field, Dan Doriani gives a brief and thoughtful overview of the Bible’s teaching on the nature, challenges, and opportunities of work. What does it mean to be faithful at work? How do we know if we are called to a certain kind of work? When should we seek different employment? What makes our work good work? In a format suitable for individuals or small groups, he answers these questions and more, shining encouraging new light on the familiar and providing insights for self-evaluation.
