Hardback, recent quarter calf, gilt title to spine. News end-papers and blanks. 30cm x 20cm. This book contains 3 works of Ben Jonson, each with a divisional title page. 1640-41. Pp. 163-292, 117-155. Some works published here posthumously for the first time, including the unfinished Mortimer. Page 169-170 trimmed lacking margins, lacking p. 171-174. In 'The Sad Shepherd' pagination, p. 151/154 misnumbered, p.123-145 misnumbered as 133-155, final leaf laid down with restoration to margins, p.133 with restoration. Occasional archival repairs to page edges, some leaves with loss at the edges and leaves toned as to the be expected. Scarce. (r7).
