Working-Class Jews and Left-Wing Political Cultures in the Americas (Jewish Latin America, 21)

This book examines the formation of the Jewish working class in the Americas. Focusing on popular experiences in urban areas, the chapters illuminate the pivotal role of Jewish immigrants in developing left-wing parties and labor unions across the continent. This volume offers a comparative perspective on issues of migration, Diaspora, and social integration in North and South America. The struggles for dignity, confrontations with xenophobia, and quest for social justice that defined the Jewish working class’s experience in the Americas resonate deeply with contemporary global challenges regarding migration and labor.
