11 volume set of the works, bound in half morocco with marbled paper boards, matching marbled edges to paper, 5 raised bands on the spines and two morocco labels to each volume. Volumes 1-9 have 2 works in each and the last 2 have 2 novels in two parts each. (20 novels in total). Printed in double column. Frontispieces to each work by Hablot Knight Browne ("Phiz"). Mostly engraved by the Dalziel brothers on wood. Contents very good, all firm and clean. The crushed morocco leather rubbed at edges and corners have lost some surface leather, morocco labels on spines all complete, head of spine on volume 3 a little worn down, no loose pages. A good library set and would enhance a home with style. Octavo. 1867. (11 volumes). Postage is subsidised for this set. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
