As-is, with exterior scuffing to boards that are primarily centered along edges and corners. Modern binder?s tape affixed between boards and head and heel of spine. Some losses to title label on spine. Cracking to front hinge with both interior and exterior visible wear, including some fraying to stitching. First two front end pages detached, with chips and losses along edges of each. Loss of frontispiece, along with edges and corners of tissue guard. Remainder of text block bound well with light instances of wear. Ex-libris bookplates of John Davidson and Arthur Bestor, with additional markings by Bestor at front. This volume contains miscellaneous papers by Hamilton with relation to the National Bank and its arguments on its constitutionality, along with the establishment of a mint. Published in the years following his fatal 1804 duel with Vice President Aaron Burr. An extremely scarce collection of some of the nascent United States? most eminent and influential papers and documents by one of its most important Founding Fathers. A great candidate for restoration.
