Hinges are slightly loose but in tact. 790 printed pages includes index. 7 fold out plates. repair to edge of page 291/2. Old worm mark on pages 451/56. Contents- De Origane et Utilitate Anatomiae Re Anatomy of the Human Bones (1726) Medical Essays & Observations (1732-44) An Account of the Inoculation of Small Pox in Scotland 1764. Alexander Monro 1697-1767. In 1723 he was elected fellow of Royal Society of London. 1731 he helped to found the Society for the Improvement of Medical Knowledge, precursor of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
