[36], 660, [24] pp. including engraved frontispiece "The Progenie of Geoffrey Chaucer." Bound in contemporary mottled calf, recased preserving original back strip. Repaired tear on front free endpaper, a few small marginal tears, gift inscription on upper paste-down dated 1928, two bookplates on lower paste-down, scattered blemishes.
