Add to basketSeven octovo (9 ¼ x 6 ½) volumes in beautiful half leather art nouveau bindings. Bindings clean and tight. Consists of The Flower Girl in two volumes published in 1905 with eight original etchings by John Sloan (one colored); Madam Pantalon published in 1904 with four original etchings by John Sloan( one colored); Cherami in two volumes published in 1905 with nine original etchings by John Sloan (two in color); Edmond and His Cousin published in 1904 with three original etchings by William Glackens (one in color); and Adhemar published in 1904 with five original etchings (one in color)by John Sloan. Sloan and Glackens were members of the Ashcan School who studied at the Pennsylvania Academy in the early twentieth century. This artistic movement is best known for works portraying scenes of daily life in New york City. Other noteed artists in this school were Robert Henri, George Luks and Everett Shinn.
