Octavo. [2], x, 404 pages (Cowpers); xxxvi (Memoir of Thomson), 133 pages, [2]. Brown sheepskin leather hardcover with title label on the spine. Marbled edges. Illustrated with steel engravings. The leather is dry, rubbed along the edges and joints, and has a couple of chipped spots on the front cover. Light damp stains Bottom text corners first few pages. Light scattered foxing to some of the contents. Last couple of pages are edge chipped. Gift book printed inscription label with spaces for writing located on the front past down. Label reads - "Premium for Piano (had written) Awarded to Morgan Kennedy (hand written) June 25th, 1850. Mount St. Mary's College, John McCaffrey (hand written) President.". Seller Inventory # 24728

Covers show wear with discoloration and stripped pieces of removed leather, typical of sheepskin. Heavily foxed and unevenly toned textblock.
