Small 8vos, green cloth, gilt titling to spine, 314; 317; 316; 310; 318; 329; 287; 287 pp. A bright attractive 1906 set of the Works of Edgar Allan Poe in Eight Volumes. The set reissues an 1895 edition and divides Poe's work into four volumes of stories, one of poems, one of essays and shorter pieces, and two of criticism and reviews. Includes twenty-four tissue guarded illustration plates based on artwork by Frederick Colin Tilney and others. Offsetting to end papers of Volumes I and IV, hint of foxing, bit of shelf wear and occasional staining to covers. A nice set.
