Condition Report Externally Spine very good condition very attractive, gilt titles to green leather labels, gilt decoration to the spine compartments and beautiful tree calf boards with a gilt decorated scroll, edges of the boards also decorated in gilt, minor rubbing to the top and base, minor loss to the top of Vol II. Joints good condition top 1 inch thinly cracked to the front joint of Vol I, a little flaking to the front joint of Vol VII, otherwise gently rubbed and worn. Corners very good condition gently bumped and worn. Boards very good condition full tree calf leather boards, with gilt scroll edging, all edges gilt decorated, minor scratches, rubbing, marks and wear. Page edges good condition top edge darkened; all marbled. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition sound. Paste downs good condition marbled.
