Early imprint, title page dated 1826, complete in 4 Volumes. Subtitled "Three Dissertations, concerning Jesus Christ, John the Baptist, James the Just, God's Command to Abraham, etc. with An Index to the Whole". Tightly bound in early tan blind-stamped full leather with gold-tooled spine titles and marbled text block edges. A "Good only" condition set due to margin wear and a 1" chip lacking from the spine head of Volume 1. Volumes 2-4 show light rubbing to the edges. The contents are unmarked and show previous owner's penned name (and slight ink offset) and light foxing. The map is present but is heavily foxed.
