Hardback Illustrated by W Heath Robinson throughout with many black and white illustrations full page and within the text including two photogravure frontispieces Both volumes bound in ivory cloth with gilt grape vine illustrations to the front and spine The cloth is in good condition although discoloured especially to the spines Minor blemish to the front of volume two with some bumping to the corners Top edge of both volumes are gilt while the fore edge is untrimmed Pictorial red endpapers with tissue guard to each frontispiece Previous owners small signature to the half title page The rest of the pages are generally clean despite some toning discolouration to the margins Overall a good set with some beautiful illustrations by W Heath Robinsonnbsp.
