Re-backed with original cloth covers laid down, featuring embossed designs and gilt decorations to spines, though gilt is tarnished. Original backstrip cloth incomplete on vol. 4 and almost entirely missing on vol. 1 but complete on vols. 2 and 3. All volumes have moderate-heavy external wear and soiling, rubbed edges, and bumped corners. Internally all volumes are intact and securely bound, but there are minor faults throughout such as exposed and taped gutters. Pages are toned but clean with sporadic pen and pencil markings.
