Bound in marbled papers with leather on edges and spine. Book Condition: Second volume in better condition than first: beginning of separation of front cover from book, otherwise binding tight. First volume binding separating from body of book up to page 3. Overall, texts clean, no marks. Edges and spines of books worn with green end-papers covering the endpapers. Each volume has a piece of paper taped to the interior front cover. Previous owner?s name inscribed on one of first pages w/Salem, 1849. Frontispiece consists of the author?s portrait and an etching of what is probably her residence. Requires only binding repair, otherwise volumes are intact. Please email us for extra cost of shipping due to heavy weight.
