463pp. 9.5 x 6 inch. Still well bound but with some cracking at top of spine and 3 small pin-holes in leather to front. Interior in very nice clean condition with no deliberate marks. Gilt titling to spine, all edges speckled. Coming from the famous Portal collection at Laverstoke which was sold off in the 1990s it has been well preserved, it contains the armorial bookplate of Melville Portal (1819-1904). He was an MP, JP, and High Sheriff of Hampshire. Sadly I only acquired 5 of the 10 vol set and only the vols listed are available. The last photo shows the 5 volumes initially available.
