17 vols, small 8vo (6½ x 4¼ ), engraved extra titles, engraved frontispieces, folding facsimile. Mixed state set with engraved extra titles dated 1832 or 1833. Printed titles dated 1835, 36, or 37 except volume 17 dated 1833. Original uniform half hard grain red morocco, backs in five compartments, gilt lettered in the second & fourth, five gilt roll tooled raised bands within blind fillets, all edges red, matching marbled endpapers. Attractive near fine clean condition but for some water darkening to the red of the upper inner back compartment and upper inner corner of the front leather of just volume 17, otherwise minor rubbing and slight wear to edges and extremities. All joints strong. Sheets and plates clean, unmarked, complete. Engraved armorial bookplates of William Binny. Contemporary clipping death notice of Lady Byron tipped in.
