Two hardcover volumes, I and II, of black cloth , stamped in gilt on the cover with titles, decorative treatment at the top and bottom edges, and on the spine with a similar treatment, including a figure in a plumed hat holding a drinking goblet. Rough cut fore and bottom edges, and red dyed top edges. This edition is limited to four thousand, three hundred numbered sets, of which two thousand, three hundred are for sale in England and two thousand for sale in America.This is number 1,204. Both are in good condition with edge and spine tip wear and softened corners, along with superficial cracks starting at preliminaries. Volume I has a few black specles at the front end papers.
