*HARDBACK, stated Edition De Luxe Limited to One Thousand Sets Printed For Subscribers only. Ex.College Library with marks, stamps, etc. Green marbled boards with black half leather binding. The spine end has been tape repaired in black and on this in white lettering, it states the works of Ralph Waldo Emerson (almost looks like it's hand printed in white ink. The title page reads The Works of Ralph Waldo Emerson Volume VI. The Conduct of Life. Boards edges show wear and rubbing. Gilt topedge to pages. Decorative endpapers in blue marble print. There is a white tape repair on both sides of ffep. Bottom page edges are frayed. This seems to be from the original publisher. A collectable from one of America's early premier writers.
