The 2nd title in the How-it-Works series, 654. It was written by the mysterious David Carey and illustrated with typical precision by B H Robinson. Originally published before the moon landing, the book was swiftly revised to reflect the moon as a reality rather than as an imagined concept. This copy is an early reprint identified by the tally number (190) and the date of publication of the last title in list (The Aeroplane) as well as the pre decimilization price of 2/6. There were 15 titles in this series up to 1972. A very attractive copy.
