In the original publisher's cloth. Externally very smart with rubbing and slight bumping to the extremities, the odd slight mark to the boards, and a slight lean to 'Stalky'. Offsetting to the endpapers, with owner's ink inscriptions and "St Mary"s Priory" bookplate and stamps to many of the volumes. Internally, binding starting in places, otherwise firm, pp. i-vi weak with tape repair and a closed tear to the plate facing pp.91 to "Land and Sea Tales".
