Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles and decoration, plain broad raised bands, general wear, attractive, split to the top of Vol X, creased to the bottom of Vol IV, rubbed with loss to the top of Vol XII. Joints good condition secure, rubbed and worn, scored to the bottom of the front joint of Vol IV. Corners good condition bumped and worn. Boards good condition red cloth and leather covered boards with wear, marks and scratches. Page edges good condition top edge gilt, others tanned. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition secure. Paste downs good condition terracotta. End papers good condition terracotta, tanned with minor foxing subsequently. Title good condition tanned with some foxing. Pages good condition tanned throughout, with some foxing throughout, some pages uncut, historic turned corners.
