A nice 2vv set of the 1850 edition by Arthur Murphy (first thus). Bound in three quarters morocco, marbled boards, gilt titles and tooling to spine, 6 raised bands. Title of Vol 1 is part detached . Boards are rubbed, as seen. Vol 1 has bookseller's embossed stamp (Drayton's, Exeter), and previous owners' initials/inscription on front paper. Good interiors, clear, bright and tight binding. Brown edges to top; red to side and bottom.
