Complete in eleven volumes. Three quarter red morocco leather over marbled paper boards, raised bands, gilt titles and compartments, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. (6.75" x 4.75"). Tissue-protected frontispieces, illustrated. 1872 revised edition with additional notes. H. N. Hudson created the first significant American edition of Shakespeare. Modern scholars consider him invaluable in the line of editors and commentators. Hudson editions of Shakespeares works are scarce and desirable. Set showing some minor rubbing to a few spine bands and corners; internally clean and bright. Size: Octavo.
