38 x 27.5 cm. Folio. AEG. Two volume set elaborately bond in full leather with gilt stamped designs. Spines have been rebacked, preserving most of the original leather spines though the newer cloth spines are visible under. Scattered foxing and some of the pages like the title page engraving have stains. Lots of animals, especially dogs are depicted. Volume 1 has the engraved title page while volume 2 has the text in black and red title page along with the essay and life of Landseer by Monkhouse. Bookplate on front paste-down. Some mustiness. Bindings feel secure. Heavy set, substantial additional shipping charges will be required for any priority or international order.
