Complete in 24 volumes, 8vo (8½ x 5½), numerous engraved plates & text illustrations. Three-quarter red-brown morocco & marbled boards by Root & Son with their pallet signature on the front free endpapers, gilt paneled backs in six compartments elaborately gilt, gilt lettered in the second and forth, top edges gilt, matching marbled endpapers. Near fine clean bright attractive set with some fading to back-strips, & some very minor wear to edges & extremities. Sheets & plates clean, unmarked, complete. 24 vols H9021.
