Small octavo, complete in four volumes. Three-quarter leather with marbled paper boards. Marbled endpapers. Title in gilt on spine, with thin gilt decor. Four bands on each spine. All text blocks solid, with light rubbing to corners and edges. The occasional dog-eared leaf in Volume I. Volume II rear hinge starting. All volumes with frontispieces and tissue covers. A vibrant, near fine example of an accomplished poet's works. Thomas Gray (1716-1771) was considered one of the best lyrical poets of the eighteenth century.
