Six volumes. Octavos. The complete poetical works in Vols. 1-3; and prose works in vols. 4-6. Edited by Epes Sargent. All six volumes are illustrated with an engraved frontispiece plate and engraved title page; volumes 4-6 also include in-text wood engravings. Small contemporary owner’s name in ink on front fly leaf of each volume. A handsome set uniformly bound by "Poole & MacLauchlan, Printers and Bookbinders," in polished half calf and marbled paper overs boards, gilt spines with leather titling labels, marbled endpapers and edges. Some darkening and modest wear to the edges of the boards, light toning and dust soiling, very good overall. An attractive, finely bound set.
